Technische Neuerungen [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0 (Web 2.0)] und eine immer größere Akzeptanz des Internets als Ort  kultureller, sozialer und ökonomischer Handlungen, ermöglichen neue Verbindungen zwischen schöpferischen und finanziellen Interessen. Das so entstandene Bedürfnis nach Austausch von Kreativität, Wissen, Arbeit und Kapital bildet die Grundlage für die Entstehung von Crowdfunding-Plattformen als Schnittstellen zwischen den beteiligten Akteuren. Der so ermöglichte Austausch bringt eine Vielzahl an Vorteilen mit sich, führt aber auch zu einer weitreichenden Ökonomisierung der beteiligten Prozesse. Um einen '''kritischen Überblick''' über ökonomische Risiken im Zusammenhang mit Crowdfunding zu erhalten, wird der Prozess des Crowdfundings von der Idee bis zur Realisierung betrachtet. Dabei sollen involvierte Akteure, vorhandene Risiken und Problemstellungen identifiziert und beschrieben werden.

Technical innovations (Web 2.0) and a growing acceptance of the internet as a place of cultural, social and economic activities, makes new connections between creative and financial interests possible. The resulting need for exchange of creativity, knowledge, labor and capital is the basis for the emergence of crowdfunding platforms as interfaces between the involved actors. The so- enabled exchange brings a variety of advantages, but it also leads to a commercialization of the involved processes. To get an overview of economic risks associated with crowdfunding, the process of crowdfunding from idea to its realization is observed. It describes which actors are involved, the existing risks and issues.
